About Us

Time to Help UK (Charity No. 1160467) is a humanitarian and development organisation established in London in 2013. Our mission is to alleviate poverty, promote education, and support vulnerable individuals and communities both in the UK and internationally. We work to create long-term, sustainable change by addressing the social and economic factors that keep people in poverty, while also responding rapidly to humanitarian crises.

Since its inception, Time to Help UK has successfully completed a wide range of projects aimed at alleviating malnutrition, constructing vital infrastructure, and providing essential services to vulnerable populations. The charity has shown remarkable agility in responding to natural disasters and crises, including the Haiyan Typhoon in the Philippines, the Soma mine disaster in Turkey, the Syrian crisis, the Gaza attacks, and the recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

At present, our international projects focus on improving access to clean water, education, and livelihood opportunities. To date, we have constructed numerous water wells in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, providing thousands of people with safe and reliable drinking water. We also distribute essential sanitary products to women and girls, helping to improve menstrual hygiene and ensure consistent access to education. We construct and renovate orphanages, schools, and libraries, helping children access shelter, education, and stable care. In East Africa, our vocational training programmes equip women and young people with practical skills, such as tailoring, that enable them to generate income and build sustainable futures for their families.

Within the UK, we work closely with refugees, asylum seekers, and people experiencing homelessness, delivering programmes that support wellbeing and social integration. These include bi-weekly soup kitchens, community events, English language support, mental health focused wellbeing sessions, and an OET Career Course that has enabled asylum seeking healthcare professionals to return to work in the NHS. We also run seasonal campaigns such as winter warmth initiatives and food parcel distribution for vulnerable families.
